Bountiful Baskets

I had to ask my friends on Facebook "what is this?".  It's a papaya.

I also had to ask my friends on Facebook "what do I do with persimmons?".  No answer yet.  Although Mr. Google told me to cut the top off and it's like a tomato.  We'll see.  They seem suspicious to me, very squishy.

Green leaf lettuce, cantaloupe  watermelon, bananas, apples, tomatoes, papaya, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots & persimmons.

Cierra and the purple carrot.

Nom, nom, nom.  She loves her carrots.

No kitty, bad kitty.

I would never guess that papaya is papaya :-)
This year I tried first time your "suspicious" perssimons which here are called: kaki or sharon fruit. Not sure if this is exactly the same fruit, but looks like. I cut it in slices (the fruit was quite firm) and ate :-) For me the taste is similar to pear, nothing special, but I wanted to try something new !
I'm surprised with the carrots ! I'm using only orange colour ones, didn't know about the rest! That's funny ! Is it popular in Arizona ?
And the sight of your cat - priceless :-)
Like all of photos!
