Hiking: Nature Trail, Madera Canyon, Tucson, Arizona

My first hike in Southern Arizona with the Sahuarita Parks and Recreation Hiking Club.
We hiked the Nature Trail, it was about 5-1/2 miles, out and back.
It was quiet at the picnic areas in the morning but when we returned each picnic site was in use.
Heart in nature.
I have so much to learn, new (to me) trees and plants.  These are the Santa Rita Mountains in the Coronado National Forest.
I've never seen these before.  They are wasp galls.
The elevation at the van was 4,511' (that's higher than elevations I hiked up to in the Phoenix area).  Lowest elevation = 4,492' and highest elevation = 5,235'.
I started my GPS tracks about 1/2 mile in to the hike (tsk, tsk).  The total hike was about 5-1/2 miles.
YTD: 8.1 miles.
