Melrose, NM.
Arriving at Aero Tech, there were four carpet cleaning trucks in front of the main house. I didn't ask any questions.
A Cessna.
Fuel truck #24. This truck is specifically for helicopter support.
The other trucks, for SEAT operations support. These are the evil 10-speeds.
"Chopper"
"Red" (she's very timid).
The SEAT support truck. (SEAT = single engine air tanker).
My lucky number. 1863 is the specific hazmat number for Jet A fuel.
Adding 600 gallons of Jet A to the SEAT support truck fuel tank.
It seems to always be windy in Clovis. I wasn't prepared for all that we did, otherwise I would have had my favorite baseball cap with me. And a toothbrush. And dog food. And a clean shirt.
My little woof.
I drove up and down the field trying to make friends with the 10-speed. We're still not best buds but playing a little nicer than we did the day before. I don't think anyone can tell someone how to drive this truck, I think it's something you learn by feel.
This is Tom, my infinitely patient teacher.
Zebra's in Clovis, NM.
I have to admit, when I saw these, my brain said: "OMG OMG OMG, zebra!!!".
I pulled over like a tourist and took several photos.
Zebra noms.
Helicopter support dog.
This is for you, James King, I don't know what it is. It drives on the wrong side, is a stick shift and they use it to run around the airfield.
SEAT 831 (or N166LA), flying to Battle Mountain, NV today.
Truck 17 will accompany 831 in Battle Mountain, NV.
Aero Tech is the most color coordinated helicopter (and airplane) operator I have ever seen.
Dave (pilot) with N9AT.
Clovis, NM wildlife.
A fuzzy.
NM sunshine and scenery.
Meanwhile, My Honey at the BLM heliport in Anchorage, Alaska.
