Water Dogs

I took the girls to the river this afternoon. I should have done this sooner with Jager, she loves the water! Now that we're home, both dogs are sleeping soundly. As I say: a tired dog is a good dog.

Quackers. I'm sorry we disturbed your peaceful afternoon.

The Mallard pair flew away.

Jager headed straight for the water without hesitation.

I had two toys, one for each girl.

Jager.

Jager, grinning in the sunshine.

I throw like a girl and the toy landed on the wrong side of the fence. Darn.

Happy girls.

Run, run, run.

Only one toy to share now.

Jager found a rock that kept her busy for a long time.

Cierra brings me the toy.

Cierra wants to know what's so interesting to Jager in this spot.

Jager see's an opportunity to take the toy.

Exploring.

Cierra, goodbye forever.

Jager.

Tiny flowers.

Jager.

The girls are sharing fairly well. Jager still has the klutziness of a big puppy. That gives Cierra the advantage to catching the toy first.

Jager's rock.

Oh, we have company. I think they want their evening drink of water from the river.

Jager trying to maneuver a large rock out of the river.

Got one!

Diving dog.

Cierra, time to go...

Wet, smelly, dirty, happy dogs. We'll do it again soon.

Jagermeister (movie) On The Treadmill

If I had seen anyone doing this prior to having a dog like Jager, I would have thought "how lazy! take that dog for a walk!". Jager is still very much an adolescent. She's also a very strong willed, strong minded girl. Jager truly needs a job, to be a working dog, she would excel in search work or protection work. In addition to working with Jager on her basic manners, I do walk Jager, but first she spends some time on the treadmill to burn off some of her puppy energy.

Jagermeister (movie)

When I make a movie, selecting the music is always the hardest part for me. This song made me laugh.

Two Woofs

I'll probably take the girls to the river to play this evening. The days are getting warmer. The girls are doing good.

This doesn't look comfortable, but Jager's out cold.

Cierra with the pink pig. The cow is in the background. I like these because I can toss them by their ears, it minimizes the amount of dog spit I have to touch.

PJ Flying High In The Sky In Valdez, Alaska

PJ is flying for H2O Heli Ski Guides in Valdez, Alaska.

On our trip from the North Slope of Alaska to Oregon, I flew over these mountains with him last summer. It is beautiful.

Of Sadness, Sorrows, Joy and Hope

I admit I had mixed feelings about attending an event marking the one year anniversary of the accident that took the life of very dear friends and injured several others. I have visited the accident and memorial site several times over the past year on the way to or from my mom's house. I spent some time at the site Thursday, leaving a wreath of flowers, a bandana and a card. Friday they asked that we give time and space to those most closely involved in the accident, and I can understand that. I did go today and I'm glad I did. I was able to see some much loved and seldom seen familiar faces where hugs abound. The tears flowed freely with a mixture of sorrow and joy. After the event I visited with a very dear friend and his lovely parents. I came home to a quiet house but I know I am loved and cherished by my Honey from afar.

The local motorcycle community is mourning the loss of Kimmy Chapman. I know that Dayle and many other angels who ride where waiting for Kimmy with open arms. Prayers for healing are needed for Mark Tapp. Kimmy and Mark's friends and families have my sincere prayers for peace and healing.

Rest in Peace Kimmy and heal well Mark.

Scripture from my friend Lori, thank you Lori:
Revelation 21:3 & 4, where God promises to wipe out every tear from our eyes, even death will be no more.

At the memorial site, an outpouring of love:

Ernie's ride.

Ernie's t-shirt. That's the spirit Ernie :)

Ernie and Julie, with Julie's new Harley.

White bandanas fill the tree.

A lovely view of beautiful people.

Thank you for your prayer Mikey.
(I may be the only person on this planet who calls him Mikey. Mike is a dear friend with a heart of gold).

Melissa sang Faith Hill's song "There You'll Be".

Me, Julie, Nicki, Dayle's Mom and Margie.

Some of the group rode to Bartlett Lake. I'm so happy to see John riding again. We've known John for four years, he always rides sweep.
