Midnight Christmas Eve Service

PJ and I went to services at Community of Grace. We both enjoyed the service very much.

I was a little hesitant about attending a Lutheran church. PJ has a tradition of attending midnight mass, and in our area, that happened to be at a Lutheran church. Likewise, I have a tradition of opening ONE Christmas gift on Christmas Eve. Which, we did.

We both enjoyed the church very much. The story of Jesus' birth was read as a narration, it was lovely. Several songs were sung with the acoustic band. Communion was held. They sung the song "The Holly & the Ivy" so beautifully that I cried.

The Lord's Prayer:
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
