This is gonna be hard work :o) I may lose 10lbs in the next few days and My Honey may also lose 10lbs because I'm not home to cook for him.
My mom has had a passion for horses her entire life. As a kid in Hawaii, she traded her manual labor at the horse stables to ride the horses. For the past 20+ years, she has taken in elderly horses and given them a comfortable place to live their senior years. They are her yard pets. They are her whole life.
My mom is not feeling well, and for my mom to say she's not feeling well, that means she's damn sick, because she's the toughest person I know.
I have packed up and come to stay at my mom's house for a few days. I arrived just before lunch time for the horses, and took a few introductory pictures of the boys and girls. I'll have to ask my mom for a run-down on names and ages, they are all over 20 years old.
For many years my mom had beautiful white Arabians, now she has come in to what I call the brown horse phase. It's still strange to me not to see a sea of white Arabians. There are five horses:
Olive, QH, age 22
BeBe, Arabian, age 10 (she is the youngest).
Cracker, Arabian, age 27
Doc, QH, age 24
Ike, QH, age 27
There's a cat in my bed.
PS - I miss My Honey and I miss my dog. :o(
