Hiking Lake Pleasant, Pipeline Trail
We're here!
Lake Pleasant's Pipeline Canyon Trail.
Looking back on the trail.
Black and Orange Fuzzy Butt Bug.
This is a Velvet Ant, a flightless female wasp in the genus Dasymutilla, Dasymutilla Magnifica.
View of Lake Pleasant.
My hiking buddy, Mr. Bosseh-Pants.
Prickly Palo Verde Tree. Blue skies, perfect hiking weather today, 75 degrees.
Pipeline Canyon Trail.
Views from the trail.
A feeble attempt at Fall colors in the desert.
My first look at Scorpion Bay Marina.
A look back at the steps we just walked down.
(The steps are metal, in the center of the photo. I don't know what the wooden ramp is for, but I'm thinking snow + big chunky inner tube = fun. Not likely to happen though).
Scorpion Bay Marina.
Kayaks available for rent.
Boats. I want one. But first I want a Jeep, and to learn how to ride my own Harley.
Empty spaces in the marina for my future boat.
I liked the rope collection on this boat.
SexSea. Clever.
Planes. My Honey guessed that these may be Mustang's.
My view sitting on the marina dock. I laid down for a few minutes to relax and listen to the water below me and look at the blue sky above me.
Sailboat.
I told Mr. Bosseh-Pants, I know someone with a boat, maybe it's here at the lake. The Harley-Davidson logo on the window gave it away.
A cool looking tiki-man.
A view of Scorpion Bay Marina through the wire cage riding up to the parking lot.
