Little Treasures From My iPhone

Bunch o' dummies.  There were infant dummies on the table, I didn't take any pictures of them, they were creepy.
Iced mocha coffee for my mommy.
A newly licensed ham radio operator.
No Kitty Bad Kitty loves to roll in the dirt.
Canine and feline, best of friends.
Enjoying what's left of the green grass before the summer sun and heat makes it all brown and crispy.
Because life is better upside down.
The last glimpse of the sunset the evening I took my ham radio license exam.
My son's project car, a Mazda Miata.
Pretty skies.
"Selfies" and I are not friends yet.
That yellow sun on my left arm will be gone soon.
Doggie kisses.
Bountiful Baskets: carrots, cauliflower, squash, lettuce, mangos, cucumber, cantaloupe, corn, pineapple, grapefruit & tomatoes.
Nick, playing with Cierra.  These two are 99% friends.  I think Nick was dropped on his head when he was a kitten, and Cierra knows it.
My son lighting his celebratory cigar at the end of his first week working fulltime as a mechanical engineering intern.

Memorial Day 2013

In honor of your sacrifice - thank you.

Random From 27255

Nick
Cierra
Last month I started Cierra on a supplement called PhyCox.  It's helping her, she feels better.  She runs and plays more. Good girl =}
My sweet Cierra, she makes my heart pitter patter.
Nick
Cierra and Nick enjoying the evening.  No Kitty Bad Kitty (black cat) doesn't like the heat, he stayed inside.
I brushed Cierra, it's a good day for the cat.
The cats think everything I bring home is for them.  I have two of these rubbery pans outside for bird-cat-dog-whatever water.
NKBK, sitting in the new thing.
NKBK sitting in the recycling (well, the plastic is trash but the cardboard box inside is recyclable).
Lazy, hot, summer days.
Where the wild things are: on the cool tile in the kitchen.
My son is here!  Yay!  James has a summer intern job in Chandler, AZ.
My occasional treat - a Butterfinger Blizzard.
I played the lottery, I didn't win.  It was fun while it lasted.  The Powerball jackpot was 360 million.
Neighborhood Palo Verde tree in bloom.
Neighborhood clouds.
I always stop to see the chicks at the feed store where I buy Cierra's dog food.
NKBK helping roll up a cord.
Small praying mantis.
My cats, playing.

In Memory

In loving memory of Mike Gauchat and Donna Collum.

We love you and we miss you.  I hope you are safe, flying high in the sky.  Are there helicopters in heaven?  I hope there are.

"Already Home", Marc Cohn

I can see the sunshine
Coming through my room
Breaking down the winter of my discontent
Looking out my window
At the people passing by
I keep wondering where my old companion went

On the steps of the museum
I wrote a line or two
But it took a while to find my way
Back to something true like

This is where I lay my hat
This is where they know my name
This is where they show me that
A man's not so alone
Maybe I'm already home
(Sometimes you've got to go back)
Maybe I'm already home
(Sometimes you don't know why)

Rolling down the window
Burning up the daze
Cutting through the veil that keeps on blinding me
I was only sleeping
Waiting here for you
Waiting for your touch that keeps reminding me

Well I've seen the world of wonders
Been underneath it too
But it took a while just to find my way
Back to something true like

This is where I lay my hat
This is where they know my name
This is where they show me that
A man's not so alone
Maybe I'm already home
(Sometimes you've got to go back)
Maybe I'm already home
(Sometimes you don't know why)

Why it had to take me so long
Just to find a place that really feels
This must be where I belong
Thinking about it
All I had to do was click my heels

This is where I lay my hat
This is where they know my name
This is where they show me that
A man's not so alone
Maybe I'm already home
(Sometimes you've got to go back)
Maybe I'm already home
(Sometimes you don't know why)

May Swap Box

Andrea at Scrambled Legs Running puts together a monthly swap box where participants spend up to $20 (which, by the way, spends really fast) and you send a box of goodies to a randomly selected person. My randomly selected person is Dee in Tennessee. Dee and I have friended one another on Facebook, because we're cool like that, and we can get to know each other a little better.  We have a few things in common - cool.
