Flying High In The Sky At 93 Years

Today we took a 93 year old man out for his first helicopter flight. He was wonderful and truly seemed to enjoy the flight.

On our way to meet our new friend.

It's a pretty day.

Near Disappointment Valley, CO.

Pretty scenery.

Green mountains, cloudy skies = beautiful day.

Cool mountain, it looks as if part of it fell away.

We flew over several mountains on the way there, up to about 10,000' elevation.

Neat pinnacles here.

We're here, we met at their cattle ranch. We landed in the yellow wildflowers near their truck.

Pilot and passengers.

I stayed on the ground. City girl saw cows she had to meet and wildflowers galore.

N350SB posing in the posies.

Our new friend wore a belt buckle with the c/h brand on it.

My first cattle chute. Yes, I walked through it.

PJ and passengers do a fly-by, but they're not done yet.

Away they go.

So, I opted to meander.

Another cattle chute.

City girl talks to cows.

Cows ignore city girl and continue to peacefully chew their cud.

Pilot and passengers after their flight, they had a great time.

Our new friend is 93 and in great shape, it must be from hard work on a cattle ranch.

It's pretty up here.

The flight back to KAIB (Hopkins Field, Nucla, CO).

Pretty Colorado.

Mountains, tall trees, rivers, lakes - what more does a person need?

Looking down on to Naturita, CO.

KAIB and the local sheriffs office.
