Where In The World Am I?

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
-Tolkien, JRR (1954) The Fellowship of the Ring.

I am leaving civilization this week. I will travel to Inigok, Alaska. I will camp in a tent. I will hate the mosquitoes. I will work. I will play. I will have time to reflect. I will breathe. I will sing "Amazing Grace" to the Universe and I will be at peace. I will see places and things very few people get to see. When I return, I will write about my travels and share photos.

Inigok, Alaska is at marker "A". For reference, Barrow, Alaska is at the top of the map.

Laura,
How surprised was I to see Bilbo's verses from the
Council of Elrond under "Where in The World Am I?" as this exact verse is one of four favorite quotations I have on my fb. And, I just left you with one of the other quotations from my fb as a comment, a portion of my experience in Volcano Nat. Park. I know you will reconnect out there.

Uncle Stephen, I'm posting your quote here so that everyone can see it. I love it. Thank you.

"Yet love will find a busy few,
caught lingering in friendship with you, that salient breeze pushing strong and fair, against your face and through your hair."
