Today may have been a record for me: I took less than a dozen photos on today's hike.
We parked at the gate at AZ-74 near the new AZ Fish & Game building and walked straight North.
The trail is long, straight, flat in elevation = b-o-r-i-n-g. But, nice if you like that kind of thing.
I did some reading post-hike and discovered the Black Canyon Trail is popular with mountain bikers and is a little over 60 miles in length. I imagine the trail is more appealing the further north you go.
Mr. Bosseh-Pants says we hiked about 6 miles today.
Cierra had the day off and relaxed with dad at home.

Me, ready for geocaching with my GPS in hand.
Very dry cattails.
Heebie-Jeebies (Ants in photo are larger than they appear!)
